licenzio

licenzio privacy and cookie policy

licenzio.co.uk collects very little about you. The site sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics or advertising tools, loads no third-party scripts and has no forms or accounts. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send by email, plus the technical details that our hosting provider and Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, receive with each page request. This policy explains both, and our terms and conditions cover how you may use the site.

Updated Applies to UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018

Who is responsible for your personal data

The publisher, at one address.

The site is published by licenzio.co.uk, which decides how personal data is used. We do not name a separate company, because none is part of how the site is run. Questions about this policy or about your data go to contact@licenzio.co.uk.

The site is for adults only, aged 18 or older, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger. If a child has written to us, a parent or guardian can ask at contact@licenzio.co.uk and we will delete the message.

What information we collect

Two kinds only.

Information you provide

By email, if you write to us.

The site has no forms, comment boxes or sign-up. If you email contact@licenzio.co.uk, we receive your email address, your name if it appears in the address or message, and whatever you write. Please do not send sensitive information we do not need.

Technical and usage information

Standard server data, held by the host.

Like any website, the servers of our hosting provider receive technical details with each request, such as your IP address, the page you asked for, the time and your browser type. They are needed to deliver the page and protect it from abuse. We do not run analytics, so we do not build visitor statistics or profiles from them. Every reader is served the same pages, so your IP address is not used to work out where you are or to change what you see.

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, a network that sits between your browser and our server. Cloudflare processes your IP address, request data such as the page, the time and your browser details, and security logs, so that it can deliver the page and protect the site from attacks and abuse. It does this for us as a processor, and its privacy policy explains how it handles that data.

The Curaçao licence check adds nothing to that list. Your browser downloads the register rows from a file on licenzio.co.uk and runs the search itself, so the names and numbers you type are never sent to us or to anyone else.

Each use has a reason and a lawful basis under UK GDPR.

Who receives data and where it is processed

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare and our email provider, and nobody else.

Service providers

Hosting, Cloudflare and email only.

Our hosting provider runs the server and Cloudflare delivers and protects the pages, and both handle the technical data above on our behalf. Our email provider carries the messages you send us. We do not sell personal data, share it with advertisers or pass it to brands listed on the site.

International transfers

Where the law requires safeguards, we use them.

If a provider processes data outside the United Kingdom, it must do so under a lawful transfer mechanism such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual clauses. Cloudflare runs a worldwide network and sets out its own transfer safeguards in its privacy policy. Ask us at contact@licenzio.co.uk for details of the providers in use at any time.

Retention and security

Keep little, for a short time.

No system is perfectly secure, but there is very little data here to lose.

Emails are deleted once they, and any correction they lead to, have been dealt with. Your address is not added to a mailing list, because the site sends no newsletters or marketing email. The site is served over HTTPS, fonts and images come from the site itself, and nothing is loaded from any other website.

Cookies and your choices

The site sets none of its own.

Essential technologies

Only a security check can leave one.

licenzio does not set cookies or write to your browser’s local storage. If Cloudflare needs to check that a visit is not automated, it can place a security cookie for that check alone, which Cloudflare describes as strictly necessary. Nothing else is stored on your device, so there is no cookie banner and no consent to give.

Optional analytics and marketing

Not used.

There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies and no third-party scripts. Should that ever change, this policy will be updated first and consent will be asked for before any non-essential technology is used.

Nothing to change today.

Since no optional technology is in use, there is nothing to withdraw. You can still block or delete cookies from any other site in your browser settings.

Your rights, requests and complaints

You control your data.

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy of data you provided. Email contact@licenzio.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at its complaints page. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

A request costs nothing. We may ask you to confirm that you control the email address the data relates to before we act on it. licenzio makes no automated decisions about readers and does no profiling.

Policy changes

The date at the top shows the current version.

If we change how the site handles personal data we will update this page and its date. Material changes will be stated here in plain words. If the site ever adds a contact form, analytics or advertising, this page will describe it, with its legal basis, before it goes live.
