About licenzio

licenzio.co.uk is a publisher of plain-English guides to casino licences. It covers licences issued in Curaçao, Malta, Gibraltar and Anjouan and explains what each one does and does not mean for a reader in the United Kingdom. It is not a gambling operator, a regulator or a place to gamble.

What licenzio helps you understand

Two jobs: reading a casino licence correctly, and knowing where Great Britain’s own rules begin.

Casino licences and account terms

A licence badge in a casino footer says very little until you know who issued it, to which company, for which website and with what status. licenzio reads the regulator’s own register and the casino’s own terms, then sets out what they say. Our guides cover the Curaçao gaming licence, the Malta, Gibraltar and Anjouan licences, and how to check a licence against the issuer’s record.

Each licence guide names the issuer and the law behind the licence, then shows recognisable brands found on that register: the licence number, the company named in the brand’s own terms, its logo and its lobby as the brand shows it. Brands with a complete record are listed first, and nothing on the site is scored or ranked. For Curaçao, the licence check page holds the regulator’s register of 666 licences, dated 20 October 2026, as a searchable table, so a licence number or a company name can be matched to the issuer’s own record.

The registers behind each guide

Every register behind the guides carries its own date. The Anjouan guide reads a public register of 1,251 rows, and the Malta and Gibraltar guides read the Malta Gaming Authority’s licensee register and Gibraltar’s list of licence holders, one file per licensee. For Great Britain the guides use the Gambling Commission’s public register, which held 2,633 business records on 27 October 2026.

Information for UK readers

Great Britain has its own licensing regime run by the Gambling Commission, and a licence from another jurisdiction does not replace it. Northern Ireland is governed differently again. Where the law differs between Great Britain and the rest of the United Kingdom, the guides say so. licenzio does not invite anyone to gamble with any operator.

Who owns and publishes licenzio

One publisher name and one contact address.

Publisher identity and contact details

The publisher is licenzio.co.uk. The only way to contact it is by email at contact@licenzio.co.uk. The site publishes no company registration number or postal address, so the publisher is identified by its name and its email address. The terms, the privacy policy and the editorial policy all name the same publisher and the same address. licenzio is a publisher of information. It does not accept bets, hold player funds, issue licences or settle player complaints.

The people behind the guides

Every guide names its author on the page.

Authors and reviewers

Guides carry the name of a real author, and each author has a page on this site listing the guides under their name. Oksana Kumetska wrote all eight guides: the Curaçao, Malta, Gibraltar and Anjouan licence guides, the Curaçao licence check, and the guides to Curaçao online casinos, betting sites and UK players. She reads the registers and casino terms each guide quotes and is responsible for the facts and wording on those pages, and a guide is updated when those records change. The byline on each page names her, and the same name appears in the page’s structured data. Her author page gives her photo and her LinkedIn profile, and nothing about her that licenzio cannot document. licenzio does not describe a reviewer desk, an expert panel or an independent board, because none is part of how the site is run. If that changes, this page will say so.

How licenzio researches casino information

Documents first: registers, certificate pages, terms, statutes and dated notices.

Research is documentary. A licence claim is checked against the issuer’s own record: the Curaçao Gaming Authority’s register and certificate pages, the Malta Gaming Authority’s licensee register, Gibraltar’s licensee list, the Anjouan register and the Gambling Commission’s public register for Great Britain. A casino’s terms are read on the date shown beside the fact. Statuses are printed exactly as the issuer prints them. Where an issuer’s record and a casino’s terms disagree, the guide shows both and the issuer’s record comes first. Each page shows one update date, which moves only when the page itself changes. Our methodology sets out how we research casinos step by step, and the rules for sources, corrections and disclosures are in the editorial policy.

How licenzio is funded

No affiliate income on this site.

licenzio has no affiliate links, and none of the brands it lists pays for a mention.

Brands appear because they are recognisable and have a public licence record, not because anyone paid for the place. Brand names on this site are information, and none of them links to a casino’s own website. There is no advertising, sponsored content or paid placement, and reading the site costs nothing.

Contact licenzio or report a correction

Email is the only channel.

Write to contact@licenzio.co.uk. If you are reporting a mistake, name the page, quote the sentence and, where you can, send the official source that shows it differently. Corrections are made to the page and handled as the editorial policy describes. For support with gambling problems, see responsible gambling and support. licenzio is meant for readers aged 18 and older.

Please do not send passwords, account details or documents from a casino account. licenzio cannot act on a player’s account or decide a dispute with a casino. A complaint goes first to the casino’s own complaints process and then to the dispute body named in its terms.
