Curaçao online casinos hold a licence from the Curaçao Gaming Authority, but the licence says little about bonus terms, withdrawal caps or who settles a dispute. Since 24 December 2024 each operator holds its own licence, supervised directly. Games must be certified by a laboratory the authority approves, and self-exclusion lasts at least a year across all the operator’s domains. The Curaçao gaming licence page sets out the full framework.
The authority publishes no country list, so each casino’s own terms set the markets it accepts. A status is quoted as printed and never read as valid or lapsed. The licence portal went offline on 2 October 2026 after a breach and an interim portal opened on 19 October, so a missing seal is not proof of an invalid licence.
A Curaçao licence is not the Gambling Commission licence that remote gambling in Great Britain needs.
That is the Commission’s position on operating licences: a licence from another country does not permit a business to serve consumers in Great Britain, wherever it operates from, and advertising unlawful gambling to them is a criminal offence, as its page on tackling illegal gambling explains. The offence sits in section 330 of the Gambling Act 2005. Northern Ireland has its own offence of advertising unlicensed remote gambling.
The Curaçao side points the same way. A licensee must obey the law of each place where it offers games, and a final ruling abroad that it broke that country’s gambling law is one of the listed grounds for revoking its licence. Whether a company holds a Commission licence shows on the Commission’s public register, which can be searched by domain name. Curaçao’s law counts poker as a game of chance, so a B2C licence can cover it. The register’s newest rows were issued up to 20 October 2026, but issue dates run back to May 2024. A licence date shows only when the authority granted that licence, so a recent date can sit on a long-running site that moved to a direct licence after the reform.
Names also lag behind the law. BetFury’s terms still name Gaming Services Provider N.V. as its licensing body, a former master-licence holder that says it ceased operations on 18 August 2024, and its footer prints Universe B Games N.V. where the certificate prints B.V. Yep’s footer calls the regulator the Curaçao Gaming Control Board, its former name. Trust the certificate, not the footer.
No. The register dated 20 October 2026 lists 571 B2C licences, and one company may hold several or run several websites under one licence, under a name that may not match the brand. Read the certificate for each domain instead of assuming.
A casino's terms must show the licensee's legal name, its Chamber of Commerce number and the licence number with its issue date, and the footer seal should open a certificate naming the exact domain. A licence number begins OGL/ or CGA/, and the register of 20 October 2026 holds 626 of the first kind and 40 of the second.
Yes. Yep’s bonus terms give an example in which a 500 EUR maximum cashout rises to 600 EUR after a later deposit of 100 EUR, because the deposit is added to the cap. Each bonus’s own terms state its limit.
